I WISH TO thank everyone who supported my Election campaign. I was delighted with the result and I wish to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who voted for me. Topping the poll has been a humbling experience
I see the result as a solid endorsement of my work as a councillor in terms of challenging the behaviour of Council management and also in terms of my work in opposing the austerity measures imposed by Fine Gael and Labour.
Thank you to those who supported me - to my Director of Elections Brenda Barr and my Election Team for a wonderful campaign; to Margaret and to my children and family for their constant support and encouragement; to those who generously donated funds for the campaign, and most particularly I wish to thank all those who voted for me on May 23rd.
You have given me a powerful mandate to represent your interests in the Council Chamber.
